The “Pistang ng Pelikulang Filipino 2018” will start to show it’s best movies in selected cinemas on August 15. And looking at the movies featured at the said film fest,it looks so promising to see the concept of each films. One of it is the Cignal Entertainment’s fresh film “Ang Babaeng Allergic sa Wifi.”
The movie revolves around 3 youngsters who find love and life lessons around the boundaries of social media frenzy. Norma is an ordinary teenage girl, and like most girls her life (and love life) revolves around technology. One day she is diagnosed with Electromagnetic Hyper-Sensitivity — an unusual illness that makes her literally allergic to Wi-Fi, data signals, etc. So she is forced to move in with her grandmother in the province and learns to live a much simpler life that will impact her relationship with Leo — and her friendship with Leo’s brother, Aries.
As I learned about this film, here are the 3 things I learned about this film that will impact us Millennials how to see life and technology:
1. All Generation has its Good Side
Whether you’re a baby boomer or a generation Y, there’s always good in every generation that reflect to this movie. Each artist reflects the role of each generation very well and it shows that technology and old-school should compliment each other.
2. Appreciate EVERY GOOD SIDE of THINGS
Showing vintage memorabilia and learning to appreciate it makes every perspective different. This movie shows many side of a world without gadgets and WiFi connection, that actually good than boring. This is good news because Millennials today should learn that every moments are best find with good company, apart from their mobile screens.
3. Learn the True Meaning of Love WITHOUT GADGETS
More that just looking for a famous IG-couple and search for that “OPPA of your dreams,” let’s look around us and see love beyond what technology has to give. The character of each cast plays a good role of showing what true love is. That regardless how low and high your WiFi is, strong connection is found in true love that endures any distance and generation barrier.
