We,Filipinos do know how to make beautiful songs. And not only that, we know how to make it meaningful and epic. Just like this Filipino worship band, “Victory Worship” has released their new song that will definitely define “missional worship” more and hope to create more impact to the hearts of people.
On the heels of UNASHAMED, the Every Nation Campus 2017 Conference, they launched the song “For Your Purpose” as part of their crown initiative to reach out more people to the Gospel of Jesus Christ through their worship songs that is relevant and heartfelt.
Inspired by the Bible verse in Jeremiah 1:5, which says,
“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
“For Your Purpose” is Victory Worship’s third digital single for 2017, following the Filipino-language song “Awit ng Bayan” and the worship ballad, “Safe.”
Written by Victory group member Lee Brown with Every Nation songwriters Sarah Bulahan, Erika Murrell, and Jose Villanueva III (also known as Quest), this inspiring uptempo praise anthem positions worshipers’ hearts to living out God’s purposes in their lives. “For Your Purpose” encourages believers to stay secure in their identity in Jesus, reminding them that God knows who we are and loves us most.
With this new song, I believe that more than just giving us good song to hear, it will compel more people to grow more with their relationship with God. And since the outcry of their worship band is “Missional Worship,” this song will encourage you to indeed live according to the purpose that God sets on you.
