Manulife recently partnered with Wealth Management Center for Communications and Research, Inc. (WMC) to conduct a Certified Wealth Planner (CWP®) course to provide professional certifications on wealth management and financial planning based on the industry’s highest international standards.
The course, starting on May 2023, covers holistic and comprehensive programs in wealth creation, protection, and conservation, focusing on health and life insurance, investment, and estate planning. Manulife financial advisors will be equipped with practice-based knowledge of the global financial system, financial risk management, financial health and insurance planning, investment strategies, and macroeconomic and market cycles.
“We at Manulife continue to provide our financial advisors with the career development and training support they need to be at their best and to consistently perform at an optimal level,” Rahul Hora, President and Chief Executive Officer of Manulife Philippines, said. “Through our collaboration with WMC, we will leverage a strong knowledge framework to enable our advisors to guide our customers in financial planning diligently. This will help us drive meaningful conversations and encourage more active participation in wealth management. This initiative helps empower our financial advisors to aspire for the globally recognized Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) qualification.”
MDRT is a global, independent association of the world’s leading life insurance and financial services professionals from over 500 companies in 70 nations and territories. Membership is recognized as the standard of excellence in the life insurance and financial services business.
Upon completion of the course, participants will be designated with Certified Wealth Planner (CWP®) and Certified Estate Planner Phils (CEPP) certifications, considered management and financial planning competence hallmarks by The Insurance Institute for Asia & Pacific.
“Throughout the course, given the immense competition among financial advisors in the insurance industry, we aim for graduates to become more confident and inspired in their profession. With best-in-class training and resources, Manulife financial advisors can help harness the power of knowledge to inspire more Filipinos to achieve financial freedom,” Rolando Robles, President and CEO of WMC, said.
Manulife and WMC aim to produce 200 graduates by the end of 2023.
