Women like us in this generation are considered UNSTOPPABLE. No matter what role, what responsibility, our out bringing in life, we are striving to do great things. However, no matter how strong we are, diseases like breast cancer can strike us in any moment. As of today, an alarming number of 34.9% of breast cancer patients are being diagnosed only at the late stages of illness. And because of that, there is an apparent need for more education on the symptoms and treatment for this “Big C.”
Festival Mall steps up its annual Breast Cancer Awareness campaign called “Pink October” to help promote early diagnosis and aid in the treatment of breast cancer with “Stronger in Pink,” this year’s theme for the said award-winning campaign. Stronger in Pink believes that with unity, women are stronger in life, in health, and, most especially, in heart and mind.
The said mall started the “Stronger in Pink” campaign last October 6. And for the whole month of October, Festival Mall will produce some activities that will gather different advocate groups to spread love and understanding about breast cancer awareness.
This month-long campaign will be featuring various activities including a:
- “Pinkalligrapghy” (Calligraphy Workshop on Oct. 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 at the mall’s New Wing);
- Pink Run “D’Feeting Breast Cancer on October 15 at 5 A.M
- Free Breast Consultations and Poster-Making Contest with the theme “Strength in Adversity”
- Breast Cancer awareness talks, exclusive discounts, and many more throughout this month of October for the benefit of Pink October’s partners “ICanServe Foundation,” “Asian Hospital Charities Foundation,” and “Project Pink.”
As the main presenter of the Pink October, Festival Lifemall is the only mall with five anchor stores: Shopwise Supercenter, SaveMore, Robinson Department Store, Ace Hardware and Handyman.
