We Filipinos knew how to slay wedding celebration nowadays. From engagement proposals to prenup photoshoots, down to the very wedding celebration, we mobilize and innovate different themes and motifs to make this once-in-a-lifetime moment for every bride and groom awesome and memorable. For most of us, we want to look for every breath-taking place, tasty catering service, and spectacular wedding dress/tuxedo for that “dream wedding” to happen. We want to give the best gifts we can give to our loved ones.
Just like in Moltalban, Rizal, there’s a classic hectare-mansion which formerly owned by a businessman Isidoro Buenviaje Liamzon. As a loving gift to his wife, Ma. Milagros Manahan Liamzon, he build a special mid-century classical revival mansion for their 35th wedding anniversary which consists of the following: five-bedroom, with outdoor terraces, sprawling gardens, a magnificent driveway, a dramatic spiral staircase, a library, and even a mirador (watch tower) from which one can view the Sierra Madre Mountains.
Christened Villa Milagros, it became the rest house of the Liamzon couple and their 11 children (three sons and eight daughters) whose city residence was in New Manila. Eventually, Villa Milagros also became the vacation home of the extended Liamzon family that included 34 grandchildren.
Through the years, the Liamzon children maintained the mansion and its fine architecture and opulent interiors (which, among others, comprised of furniture from Europe, porcelain chandeliers and wall lamps from Spain, custom-made furniture by the House of Puyat and an authentic Steinway piano).
In 2015, Villa Milagros underwent a major restoration. An exterior walkway was built around the mansion to provide a path to appreciate the unique façade and gardens. The driveway was refurbished to highlight the mirador tower. Custom-made Machuca tiles replaced the old concrete flooring of the portico. The main hallway was spruced up with a new marble medallion that mirrors the lobby’s oval shape. The masters’ bedroom was updated to modern classic interiors and aptly renamed the Milagros Suite. The Villa’s old pavilion was also made into The North Wing, the six-meter ceilinged banquets hall that looks and feels like the mansion.
After the big restoration, Villa Milagros is now made open to the public as a venue for special occasions such as parties, birthdays, weddings, launches, and get-togethers. Villa Milagros manager Andrea Liamzon, the granddaughter of Isidoro and Milagros, declares, “We wish to share with people the beauty and soul of our family home. Our sprawling venue provides the perfect setting not only for weddings and events but also for themed shoots and media features. We would be more than happy to host their next special event or milestone.”
For less than 125,000 pesos (conditions apply), you can choose which part of the villa you want to use for your special occasions. They upgraded the parking lot space and put extra touches on their garden’s patio so they can accommodate 300 guest and more. For more intimate occasions, they also have the “Liamzon Hall” for special celebrations.
For that extra feel-at-home experience, they also renovate the mansion’s bedrooms so they can use it as “bedroom suites” for the groom, bride, and other visitors. The rooms have different themes based on the names of the children of Mr. Isidoro Buenviaje Liamzon.
In keeping with their mission to “create timeless memories” for their guests, Villa Milagros works with caterer Banquets by VS&F to bring exquisite meals that go perfectly with the picturesque setting. Villa Milagros is open to working with other caterers as well.
The combination of a charming family tradition and romantic environment, coupled with great food and personalized service, has made Villa Milagros a top choice for prenup pictorials, weddings, and celebrations. Mr. Isidoro Liamzon’s gift to his beloved Milagros has now become a gift to the world: a beloved event venue where one can make their own memorable moments.
