One of the Multi-national Pharmaceutical Company Boehringer Ingelheim officially inaugurated the flagship of their service center last November 16 in Alabang. Their office location was supported by the Chamber’s Trade Promotion department through their Location Analysis service with currently 51 Filipino employees, aiming to hire more Filipinos. This inauguration is one of the finest marks the of a good rise of employment here in the Philippines after the recent ASEAN Summit.
The shared service center is the third entity of Boehringer Ingelheim in the Philippines, the first and second being human pharmaceuticals and animal care pharmaceuticals respectively. Being one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in the Philippines, Boehringer Ingelheim (Philippines), Inc. or BIPHI markets human and animal health products noted for their efficacy and reasonable cost; many of which are among the leaders in their categories.
BIPHI started their operations in November 1962 with eight employees working out of a modest office at the Muller & Phipps Building in Mandaluyong. It was officially incorporated on December 7, 1966. Now, with a service center on their own, BIPHI aims to expand the numbers of employees and get more excellent Filipino workers because of their educational background and appreciative work ethics.
